Flu Vaccinations

Seasonal influenza Vaccinations 2023

The Practice is offering the 'flu vaccination to all eligible patients, clinics will start on the first week of October.  
If you are eligible, please dont wait for the Practice to contact you, book an appointment by speaking with the receptionist or if you have online access you will find appointments available via My Health Online.   For more information on online services see  My Health Online
 
Eligible patients
You are eligible for the flu vaccination at the Practice if  you are in any of the following categories
 
Your date of birth is before 31st March 1959
You are an unpaid Carer 
You are currently pregnant
You live in a residential care setting
You live with a person who is immunosuppressed 
You have a learning disability
Your Body mass index (BMI) is 40 or more.
Children aged 2 or 3 years at 31st August 2023

If you have one of the following conditions;
Chronic respiratory disease - e.g COPD  or Asthma that requires regular steroid medication
Chronic Liver disease
Chronic Kidney disease
Chronic Heart disease 
Diabetes
Asplenia  or are coeliac
Immunosuppressed due to a condition or treatment
Chronic Neurological disease  - e.g. Parkinsons, Epilepsy, Motor Neurone Disease, Cerebral palsy.
Severe Mental Illness

The following will receive their Flu Vaccination in school
Years 1 - 12

The following will receive their flu vaccination through their employer
Health Care worker
Social Care worker
Care home staff
