Nursing Team Services

All nursing clinics are by appointment only. 

Our Nursing Team

When you contact the Practice, please tell the receptionist the reason for your appointment so you can be booked with the most appropriate member of the team.

Blood Tests

We provide blood tests for monitoring certain medications and conditions, including:

  • Warfarin

  • Anticoagulants (NOACs)

  • Thyroid conditions

  • DMARD medications

  • Tests requested by a GP, nurse, or hospital specialist

 

Child Health & Immunisation Clinics

Thursdays:

  • Crymych — 10am

  • Newport — 2pm

Appointments are required for both clinics.

 

Contraception & Family Planning

All contraceptive methods are available, offered with privacy and sensitivity. Dr Anwen Evans provides coil fittings and contraceptive implant appointments. Please ask reception for more details.

 

Chronic Disease Management

Regular reviews and monitoring for long‑term conditions, including:

  • Diabetes

  • Asthma

  • High blood pressure

  • Other conditions requiring ongoing checks or medication monitoring

 

Injections

We provide injections that have been recommended by a Practice or hospital clinician, including:

  • Prostap

  • Zoladex

  • Depo‑Provera

  • Vitamin B12

These injections can only be given if advised by a clinician.

 

New Patient Health Checks

Newly registered patients are welcome to book a general health check with our Health Care Assistant.

 

Vaccinations

We offer vaccinations for eligible patient groups, including:

  • Flu (including nasal flu for children)

  • Shingles

  • Pneumococcal

  • RSV

Women’s Screening

Cervical screening (smear tests) is carried out by Practice Nurse Kimberleigh Harries. Appointments are required. You will receive an invitation from Cervical Screening Wales when your test is due.

Wound Care

Dressings, wound care, and removal of stitches are available through the nursing team.

General Health & Lifestyle Advice

Our nursing team can offer guidance on healthy living, diet, exercise, and managing long‑term conditions.

 

Ear Syringing  We are no longer able to offer ear syringing at the Practice. We apologise for any inconvenience.
