Please request your repeat medication up to 7 days before it is due. To keep prescribing safe, the Practice needs two full working days to process your request. If your prescription goes to a pharmacy, please allow extra time for them to dispense it.
For safety reasons, we cannot take prescription requests by phone. This also keeps our phone lines free for patients needing medical advice or appointments. Thank you for your understanding.

Post your repeat slip to either Practice site or place it in the Prescription Request Box in reception. Please include your full name, date of birth, and all items you are requesting.
Many pharmacies can request your repeat medication on your behalf. Speak to your usual pharmacy team to set this up.
If you need your prescription delivering - please speak with your local pharmacist who will advise if they offer this service.
Please note that the Practice and local Community Pharmacists will have reduced openings, or will be closed on Bank and Public Holidays. Ensure that you request medication and that you collect from your pharmacy in good time.
The Practice began using the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) on 7 October. This means most prescriptions are now sent directly to your chosen community pharmacy, with no need for the Practice to deliver or for the pharmacy to collect a paper prescription.
EPS makes the process quicker and more secure, but the Practice still needs 48 working hours to safely process your prescription request. Once issued, your nominated pharmacy will prepare your medication for collection or delivery (if they offer this service).
If you would like to set or change your nominated pharmacy, please speak to the reception team or your usual pharmacist.
The Practice and local pharmacies may have reduced opening hours or be closed on Bank Holidays. Please request and collect your medication in good time.
Changes to medication supply
Following Welsh Government guidance, most patients will begin to receive two months’ worth of medication at a time. This means you will only need to request your repeat prescription every two months.
If there are items you no longer take, please do not request them. Let your pharmacist or the Practice know so we can update your records.
