Class 1 – Who we are and what we do

Practice details, information about our Practice team and our opening times are all published on our website. This information can be accessed via the About Us page. 

Class 2 – What we spend and how we spend it

The Practice receives money from NHS Wales according to its contract for national General Medical Services in exchange for services provided for patients.
This information can be obtained on request in writing to the Practice Manager Mrs Julie Evans, Newport Surgery, Long Street, Newport, Pembrokeshire, SA42 0TJ.

There may be circumstances where material cannot be released because it is confidential or commercial information or the appropriate officer designated for these purposes, under the Act, has taken the view that it may be prejudicial to the conduct of the Practice’s affairs.

If this is the case, we will respond to your FOI request with a formal letter acknowledging the reasons why we are unable to give you this information.

We do not wish to publish our annual salaries, but they are available on request.

Class 3 – What our priorities are and how we are doing

Information is available within the website.
The Practice  is part of the North Pembrokeshire Cluster with whom we work to develop services for patients.

  • Working towards achieving required standards within the Welsh Government QAIF (Quality Assurance and Information Framework), Access Standards and Medicines Management.
  • As well as providing core service the Practice is committed to providing Enhanced Services, these include, Minor Surgery, Minor Injuries, Patient Monitoring and Shared Care, Long Acting reversible Contraception and Immunisations. 

Class 4 – How we make decisions

The Practice has a committee that is made up of all the Partners, Salaried GP's, Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, IT Manager, clinical team and administrative team members. 

The Committee meets weekly. Extracts from these meetings can be obtained on request in writing to the Practice Manager, stating the information you are interested in. The Practice Manager can be contacted in writing at Newport Surgery, Long Street, Newport, Pembrokeshire SA42 0TJ 

These minutes cover a wide variety of topics including confidential patient information which is why we are not able to provide copies of the minutes.
