Prescriptions

Medication

The Practice is following Welsh Government guidelines to increase the interval between repeat prescriptions, this means that most patients will start to receive two months worth of medication.  Patients will only have to request repeat medication every two months.

If there are any items on your prescription that you do not take regularly or have stopped taking, please do not request them, and let your pharmacist or the Practice know.

The Practice anticipates it will take several months before all appropriate prescriptions are altered.

Requesting Prescriptions

It is a good idea to request medication up to 7 days before your next medication is due.

Please allow at least two full working days for the Practice to process your prescription request. Your local pharmacy will also require time to dispense the medication.

For patient safety we are unable to take prescription requests over the telephone

How to request your prescription

  • In Person or by post Prescription requests may be posted to either Practice site or placed in the Prescription Request boxes in the reception areas.
Please ensure your full name and date of birth are clearly written on the request, as well as all items you are requesting.

  • Online Prescriptions can be requested using the My Health Online system.
