Important Patient Notice: Change to Our Clinical System
At the end of May 2026, our practice successfully moved to a new clinical computer system called EMIS Web. This change is part of an all-Wales programme and is being made to support improvements in how we manage patient information and deliver care.
Key Information for Patients
Online prescriptions are now available via the NHS Wales App. Please allow at least two working days’ notice for requests.
Online appointment booking will resume once staff are fully familiar with the new system.
Text messaging services are temporarily unavailable, including appointment reminders. We anticipate that this service will be restored by mid-June.
Please ensure you make a note of any appointments you have booked.

Why is the practice changing systems?
This change is part of an all‑Wales programme to move all GP Practices to a single, modern clinical system. EMIS Web will support safer and more consistent care across Wales.
The practice is being fully supported throughout the migration by Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) and our Clinical system suppliers to ensure the change is carried out safely.
Will this affect how long things take at reception?
Possibly. This is a major change for all staff, and some tasks may take a little longer while we learn the new system. Please be patient with our team.
