Non NHS work

Non-NHS Services at Preseli Practice 

Some services provided by the Practice are not part of the NHS General Practice Contract. These include completing reports, letters of support and certain medical examinations. Because these services fall outside NHS‑funded care, they incur a private fee set in line with British Medical Association (BMA) guidance.

If you need any non‑NHS work completed, please speak to a member of the Practice Team who will advise you on the fee and the process.

Before You Submit a Form

To avoid delays, please ensure:

  • You have completed all sections of the form
  • Any required supporting documents are attached
  • You have signed and dated the form where needed

  • The information you provide is accurate and legible

Incomplete forms cannot be processed and may significantly delay the turnaround time.

Non‑NHS Written Services

Examples include:

  • DVLA forms
  • Insurance forms
  • Holiday cancellation forms
  • Firearms certificates
  • Letters of support
  • Local authority forms
  • ECO4FLEX Scheme
  • Power of Attorney documentation
     
Non‑NHS Medical Examinations

Examples include:

  • Fitness to drive medicals
  • Pre‑employment medicals
  • Seafaring medicals
  • Blood tests requested by a Private Hospital consultant
Fees & Payment

A member of the Practice Team will inform you of the fee applicable to your request.
Fees can be paid in cash or by cheque.
The Practice is unable to accept debit or credit cards.


Turnaround Time

NHS work is always prioritised. Please allow 28 full working days for your request to be processed. Most requests are completed sooner, but this timeframe allows for unforeseen circumstances.

You will be contacted when your forms or letters are ready for collection.
